An alumnus of the prestigious Darul Uloom Zakariyya, South Africa, Mufti Yahya graduated with an Aalimiyah Degree in Advanced Shariah Sciences. He specializes in the passing of Fataawa (legal verdicts) after a comprehensive study of Islamic Jurisprudence under the tutelage of Mufti Raza ul Haq, the grand mufti of South Africa. He went on to complete his Master’s degree from the Faculty of Research at Al Mahad ul Aali al Islami, with a special focus on Fiqh ul Mu’amlat & Islamic Finance under the auspices of Maulana Khalid Saifullah Rahamani.
Having completed the memorization of the Holy Quran in his teens from Darul Uloom Zakariyya, South Africa, Mufti Yahya went to acquire a certification in Qir’aat Sab’ah, the different styles of reciting the Holy Quran from Qari Ayoob Essack. He also completed the Tarbiyat Qadha course at Imarat-e-Sharia, Patna.
Mufti Yahya founded Darul Ifta, Mumbai, which provides consultancy for Shariah and legally compliant solutions for issues faced by professionals for dispute resolution and mediation. He currently also serves as a Shariah Consultant at Rehbar Financial Services, Bengaluru. He is proficient in English, Arabic and Urdu.
